German individual training

German individual training

One-to-one training offers the opportunity to learn a foreign language intensively at the desired pace. From A1 - C2, i.e. at all levels of the European Framework of Reference, entry is possible at any time and due to the intensity of the teaching and learning situation, a desired goal can be achieved after a few appointments, for example after five, ten or twenty units. Ideally, think about what you can expect from individual German training. What goal do you want to achieve? And ideally, during the first appointment, you should also be advised to what extent your idea is realistic. In this way, you can receive the best possible support on the way to your linguistic learning goal! What general content and focal points are there ?

GENERAL CONTENT AND MORE

In general, language teaching, whether in an individual setting or in a small group, is based on the progress that a foreign language course shows for a specific level. And normally all four skills, namely reading comprehension, listening comprehension, speaking and writing, including the so-called sub-skills such as grammar, vocabulary training and pronunciation, are practiced but as well intercultural situations. Of course, the content of individual German training can be adapted to your personal needs and could focus more on pronunciation and oral communication, or more on grammatical structures in combination with conversation ("grammar & conversation"). In addition, cultural topics or writing in German language are possible focal points.

FOCAL POINT | WRITING IN GERMAN LANGUAGE

One of the advantages of one-on-one German language training is that you can plan and set individual priorities. Everyone has different strengths and interests and this can be optimally taken into account in individual settings. For example, writing skills can be specially trained, even at a beginner's level. For advanced beginners or more advanced learners, job-related texts will be of interest so that they can produce successful texts independently in everyday work. Of course, it is also possible to prepare for a German certificate individually, specifically for the writing part of the exam. Such accompaniment is particularly in demand up to the exam date, usually at the higher levels B2 and C1, because this opens the door to the academic world of language or to competent language skills in public professional situations.

FOCAL POINT | PRONOUNCIATION TRAINING & COMMUNICATION

Have you already achieved a solid grasp of grammar and communicate regularly with people in Austria ? Even though you have mastered a wide range of formal structures and a comprehensive vocabulary of the German language, are you sometimes not immediately understood by others? Perhaps in this case you could either work through what you have learned or work on your pronunciation with professional support so that others can understand you better and vice versa. Although pronunciation is one of the central skills in learning a foreign language, its importance is often underestimated in practice. The close and systematic connection between phenomena of pronunciation and other sub-areas and competencies such as grammar, vocabulary and listening comprehension is, however, very clear. So it is obvious not to practice correct pronunciation in isolation, but rather in an activating and dynamic manner in combination with other areas with which it is linked, and above all with communicatively motivating examples. Anyone who masters the pronounciation of the German language will enjoy the language more and be more successful in communication, whether in everyday life or at work. For this reason “Pronounciation Training & Communication” is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced learners.

FOCAL POINT | COMMUNICATION & CULTURE

Anyone who is new to Vienna or Austria or perhaps intends to stay only a few months wants to be able to communicate linguistically so well that "surviving" in certain everyday situations, be it in private or professional life, is possible without misunderstandings or incomprehension is. If you are new to Vienna, you might want to order a coffee in German or food in a restaurant. Grammar and words that you need in such situations are not complicated, however quite useful. So it makes sense to impart such "vital" knowledge to beginners so that the basics of intercultural communication are known from the start. These make everyday work easier for students and expats in companies in the new environment. In addition to all topics that belong to intercultural communication, a possible focus of - advanced - individual German training can also include cultural topics that are current and interesting in regard of with Vienna, Austria and the entire German-speaking area. We can prepare your Viennese “coffee house walk” as well as illuminate historical topics or undertake a virtual museum visit in Vienna or in another D-A-CH metropolis.
